Calgary Convention| Tuesday, October 15, 2002
The ZP convention in Calgary in August was almost as good as the 1987 convention there. The highlight was a mass migration to Banff, including hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing trips. Some attending from Minnesota were Tim Kennedy and his wife; Lee, Nancy and Bradley Grimm; and Alan Rice. The usual suspects of international attendees were also out in force.
Next year's convention is in Orlando, FL. Ron Petri and his wife Irene are the convention hosts. They promise ample time to check out the theme parks. Tim Kennedy will try to get a fishing outing together. Last time he was in Orlando, he witnessed the weigh-in for a bass tourney. In the first 15 minutes, he saw 3 fish that were bigger than the MN state record largemouth. More info here.
