Grand Old Days Again| Wednesday, May 05, 2004
How time flies! The first Sunday in June (June 6) is again upon us! And it is now time for the seventeenth, or maybe it is eighteenth, Grand Old Day staging at the Kennedy Hovel.
As we have much batter mix left from the Homecoming breakfast, we are considering having a pancake breakfast before the parade. If we do, we'll post further.
The parade purports to begin at 10:30. The plan, as always, is to:
- stock up on appropriate liquids,
- hoof it, en masse, the mile up to Dale Street, unnerve the police by touching their patrol cars there,
- limp on back to the house,
- eat, drink, and rest our tootsies until sufficiently recovered. This sometimes takes a while.
You never know who will come. Certainly I don't. The house is 201 S. Lexington Parkway in St. Paul, roughly at St. Clair.
If you're the sort who likes to know a lot of detail, you can gather it here.
Update (5/18): We've decided to start the day with pancakes. So if you're up for it, come on by at 9:00 a.m. and catch 'em as they flip off the grill.
